1. Select hosting package
Choose the hosting package you want and order it.
Immediately after completing your order you will receive detailed instructions for the management of your site using cpanel, FTP, SSH, etc.
2. Website transfer
The transfer of your site to GIGANETWEBHOSTING is very simple. Our staff will take care of the transfer of all files and databases. Your site will continue to operate normally during the transfer procedure without any downtime!
If you have the necessary knowledge, you can do the transfer yourself. If you wish to transfer the site yourself you will first need to get a backup (files and databases, if any) through the control panel of your previous package web hosting. Start transferring your files to our server based on the instructions you have received from us in the activation email. Transfer files and databases (if any) from your old to your new server and be sure to create all the email accounts you are using.
If the previous provider offered CPanel Control Panel, then moving your site is very easy as long as you take a backup of your site from the old CPanel and restore it (restore backup) through the CPanel on our server.
During transfer, please don’t cancel your account with the previous web hosting company.
3. DNS change
You can now change the nameservers of your domain name at your registrar in order to activate your site to the new server. You can find the new nameservers in the activation email we have sent you. After changing the nameservers it will take about 24 hours to start using your site from our server. During this time, your website will continue to work from the old server (as long as you haven’t canceled your previous hosting plan), but gradually internet providers will complete the propagation. When this procedure is completed you can cancel your subscription to the previous provider.
